Game Engine Architecture
Dense but invaluable. Finally understand what's happening under the hood in Unity — the render loop, resource management, spatial data structures. Slow read but every chapter changes how I think about the tools I use daily.
My personal reading tracker (kept public on purpose). One of the tricks I picked up from Atomic Habits: making a habit visible creates accountability and keeps motivation going.

Aged surprisingly well. The DRY principle and the broken windows theory alone are worth the read. I came back to the tracer bullet concept several times during game jam prototyping.
Good principles, but the examples lean heavily Java. The core ideas — meaningful names, small functions, single responsibility — stuck with me. Some chapters feel dated. Worth reading once.
